DJ Huly & Javier Voltaje
Javier Voltaje was born in Havana, Cuba. From an early age dedicated his life to the music as one of the founders of hip hop cuban group clan 537. In 2001 traveled to Italy recruited by Sony Music Europe as an artist. With his group participated in more than 150 concerts throughout Europe in over 23 cities in the old continent, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Fracia, Italy, Norway, Rusia, Switzerland, Germany and many other countries were part of the stage where they participated in 2003 won the Golden Cat award as Album of the Year, Latin Grammy-nominated in the USA in 2003, Artist revelation Billboard Latino 2006, nominated in 2007 Grammy Latino, Javier Voltaje is considered one of the most important producers and artists of Latin hip hop.
DJ Huly born in Ciego de Avila, Cuba, he graduated from the Conservatory of music in this city majoring in percusión. In 2003 he moved to the US and joined las Vegas school of arts LVA and later the university of Nevada UNLV where he studied music. At the age of 20 Huly has become one of the youngest and more talented producer in las Vegas in the urban movement, traveling in 2006 to various countries in Europe to participate in jazz festivals, getting first place in Italy, Croatia and England.
Javier Voltaje and DJ Huly team was founded in 2006 with the company Metamorphosis Music and Production in Las Vegas developing a perfect combination. Javier Voltaje specializing in Latin rhythms and Dj Huly specializing in Hip Hop. From this duo have emerged a variety of fused rhythms that give the music a new style. 1.) How did you first hear about Open Labs?
We learned through a friend who told us.
2.) What Production Station do you have?
Neko Timbaland Special Edition.
3.) How has the gear changed your method of work?
It is much more complete by having everything in one piece of equipment and the sounds are incredible, and easy to work and is much more comfortable.
4.) What is your production station's primary function, live or studio?
Music production studio and live concerts.
5.) What is your favorite software on the board?
Proteus x, Sylenth1.
6.) How do you use it?
For the musical production.
7.) Which kind of equipment have you owned in the past and how do they compare to your Open Labs equipment?
Before working with the Yamaha Motif 8 then completely replaced by the Neko, yamaha does not have comparison with Neko
8.) Has the gear changed the way you write songs?
Has changed the way we write because we rely on something more current in music today for the development of artists.
9.) How different is the composition process compared to the standard computer or laptop system?
The internal system is much faster.
10.) Do you think the quality of your production now would be possible with another keyboard?
No.
11.) Have you had any experience with our Tech Support and how does it rate with you?
Yes at first but they fixedit very quickly
12.) What is next for you and your Production Station?
The Neko's just something that revolutionized the current production system and that everything is on one team in front of you with the highest quality while impressed by its design and its sounds, the artists who work with us now feel much more confident and are sure that the quality will be best for his music, together we wil conquer the universe of music...
