This duo consisting of Dante "lotto" Babb and Nadia "pippy" Sherman has had the privilege of working with countless artists around the globe, as well as multi-platinum selling and Grammy award winning producers. 1.) How did you first hear about Open Labs?
From flipping through a music magazine, we were instantly impressed.
2.) What Production Station do you have?
The Neko EX5.
3.) How has the gear changed your method of work?
The Neko has made us more streamlined, you can record vocals , mix, edit , and arrange on this one piece of equipment. Its simply brilliant.
4.) What is your production station's primary function, live or studio?
We primary use our Neko for studio sessions.
5.) What is your favorite software on the board?
Wow, its hard to chose just one, every included software is so valuable to hit music creation. We love them all.
6.) How do you use it?
To make hit records of course.
7.) Which kind of equipment have you owned in the past and how do they compare to your Open Labs equipment?
Not to embarrass any company trying to compete with Open Labs, we've owned several keyboards and some just don't compare to the versatility and expandability of a Neko. .
8.) Has the gear changed the way you write songs?
Its hard not to use the Neko and not get hyped and inspired by the crazy sounds its able to produce, when you're completely taken by a track the words just come effortlessly.
9.) How different is the composition process compared to the standard computer or laptop system?
Our composition process has drastically changed because you can record on the spot using the assignable knobs and faders and no computer can do that.
10.) Do you think the quality of your production now would be possible with another keyboard?
We can make magic on anything lol... but the Neko makes the magic happen a lot faster.
11.) Have you had any experience with our Tech Support and how does it rate with you?
We haven't had any issues with our Neko and that's due to the true craftsmanship of Open Lab products.
12.) What is next for you and your Production Station?
The top of the charts!!!
