Marcus "Seven" Daley

Mr. Marcus Daley aka Seven is a songwriter and producer based in Sheffield, UK. With over ten years experience and a number of projects under his belt, Seven has worked alongside some many industry giants including Elliott Kennedy who has produced for Spice Girls, Brian Adams, and Celine Dion to name a few, Tim Westwood, Lennox Lewis, and Ben Franklin signed to Super Producer Rodney Jerkins production company Dark Child Productions.

Seven, the brainchild behind UK Super Group NoXcuse, has expanded the vision for the NoXcuse Movement by acquiring the space for a new recording studio, rehearsal hall, and dance studio within the NoXcuse Multimedia Centre premises, located in Sheffield.

Seven's distinct feel and creative sounds have forged a unique sound over the years through various genres of music. Not only a music producer, Seven oversees all writing duties for NoXcuse to ensure the lyrics and delivery measures up to quality and sound of the track to make a hit record. Seven's distinction music style has been heard with independent artist projects including Lewis Monroe, Mpho, Rukas, and Valli Rhymz to name a few.

Recently signing off on a major JV Partnership in America with President & CEO Michael Pendleton of Pendleton & Company, Inc. a New York based branding firm and Media Specialist Angela Thomas of Prana Marketing.

Seven and the NoXcuse Collective, currently preparing for "The Purple Wave US Tour" making stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Miami before returning for a Fan Appreciation Concert in London, have built a strong independent fan base for its music brand thru the release of their popular music videos produced by veteran videographer Luke Biggins currently playing in rotation on MTV, and Flava Networks in the UK. The NoXcuse sound is playing in rotation on BBC1Xtra and Tim Westwood's Radio One Rap Show.

Their 2010 roster proves to be very promising for the music Super Group. Under Seven's leadership the group has landed several major Music Placement Projects across the pond including: MC Ant Tanna Literacy TV Project in the Spring, Feature Film Soundtrack for Eternal Breath - Quest For Destiny which begins production the Summer, and the highly anticipated release of a new album in the Fall.

1.)How did you first hear about Open Labs?
    I WATCHED POLOW DA DONS INTEVIEW ON THE MIKO!

2.)What Production Station do you have?
     MIKO GENERATION 4.

3.)How has the gear changed your method of work?
    IT HAS MADE ME WORK FASTER AND IT HAS OPENED MY EYES TO A NEW SOUND AND HORIZON. THE SOUND OF THE MIKO IS REVOLUTIONARY.

4.)What is your production station's primary function, live or studio?
    STUDIO!

5.)What is your favorite software on the board?
     IT WOULD BE PHAEDRA & BATTERY.

6.)How do you use it?
    WAVEY, I MAKE WAVES.

7.)Which kind of equipment have you owned in the past and how do they compare to your Open Labs equipment?
    BEFORE I USED THE EMU 500 ULTRA, KORG TRITON AND TRINITY. THEY ARE GOOD TO USE IN UNISON WITH THE MIKO.

8.)Has the gear changed the way you write songs?
    NO, NOT REALLY. BUT SONICALLY IT HAS HELPED A LOT.

9.)How different is the composition process compared to the standard computer or laptop system?
    IT IS MORE MOBILE TO USE.

10.)Do you think the quality of your production now would be possible with another keyboard?
      NO, THE MIKO IS THE MOST SUPERIOR MODERN DAY EQUIPTMENT.

11.)Have you had any experience with our Tech Support and how does it rate with you?
      YES. TIM VIGORI. HE HAS HELPED SO MUCH THROUGH UNDERSTANDING THE MIKO

12.)What is next for you and your Production Station?
      TO CONQUER THE ASTRAL PLANE!!!
