Born Maurice Pearl a/k/a Moe-P is one of the music industry vets. For over ten years the music of Moe-P has touched millions of hearts. His credits are overwhelming, from singing, writing, producing. His name is one of the industry's behind the scenes ring. You may know some of Moe-P credits for his work with artists such as Heavy D, Al B. Sure, Tony Thompson of High Five, Bobby Brown, Dwayne Wiggins of Tone Toni Tony, Dave Hollister, The Deele, Faith Evans, Anthony Hamilton, Crazy for 504 Boys, Jonny Gill, and Mr. Magic, Lil Boosie, and Shawn Paul of the Youngbloodz to name a few.
Moe-P's professional career began in an R&B act called "3RD AVENUE". They gained recognition when MILLER BREWING COMPANY took a special interest in them to produce jingles and serve as Poster Boys for OLD ENGLISH 800. That exposure led the group to sign a major recording contract with Solar/Epic Records, releasing their hit CD entitled "LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE". At the same time the single "Let's Talk About Love" was climbing the Billboard Charts, the song ''The Minute U Fall In Love " from the "DEEP COVER" Soundtrack started gaining radio station attention, as they hit the charts! They also hit the Road on tour. After perfecting the art of production, what else can this young man bring to his music career?

Moe-P just wrapped up his latest project, an upcoming TV show due to start airing on TV1 in March of 2010, Name the Ultimate Merger, Executive Produce Donald Trump. Moe-P has just started working on his solo project to be released on Hidden Beach/Universal April, 2010.
Moe-P is not a here today, gone tomorrow artist. His voice and style leaves you wanting more and more.

1.) How did you first hear about Open Labs?
I was in a studio session with Al B. Sure working on one of the new song on his New Album and a producer friend Terrance Dudley told me about it.
2.) What Production Station do you have?
The Neko Timbaland Edition
3.) How has the gear changed your method of work?
I have a new out look on recording its much simpler than how we did it in the 80's actually its better.
4.) What is your production station's primary function, live or studio?
Studio and Live.
5.) What is your favorite software on the board?
All of them are great I have no favorite. Each day I learn something new.
6.) How do you use it?
I'm working on a lot of new project right now I'm working with this Kid like that's 14 years old name Nathan Gros and with this board its like it helps me to do thing. I'm like WOW that's tight.
7.) Which kind of equipment have you owned in the past and how do they compare to your Open Labs equipment?
A lot of Roland Keyboards, about 9 of them. MPC 60, MPC 60II MPC 3000 and 4000 the Mo Phatt, Yamaha so many different units but none compare to Open Labs.
8.) Has the gear changed the way you write songs?
Yes it has.
9.) How different is the composition process compared to the standard computer or laptop system?
Its stand in a class by itself I Love this united I married my music to it.
10.) Do you think the quality of your production now would be possible with another keyboard?
Nah only if it comes from heaven.
11.) Have you had any experience with our Tech Support and how does it rate with you?
All the time and they are well vast at least the ones that I work with.
12.) What is next for you and your Production Station?
What else do I need? I don't know.
