DBeat PRO
3.) How has the gear changed your method of work?
Quick Mind to Speaker Ratio,Since everything is mapped and accessible it allows for a fast work process.
4.) What is your production station's primary function, live or studio?
Studio, Although once i learn all the ins and outs , i am preparing to take it on the road soon and perform live.
5.) What is your favorite software on the board?
Hard to just pick one but i would have to say the truepiano vst.
6.) How do you use it?
I use true piano in every genre from movie scores to house .
7.) Which kind of equipment have you owned in the past and how do they compare to your Open Labs equipment?
This is my first Hardware Workstation so I'm looking forward to the experience it brings.
8.) Has the gear changed the way you write songs?
Haven't really wrote anything yet with it, lets see!
9.) How different is the composition process compared to the standard computer or laptop system?
Everything on the Dbeat is geared towards music production/DJ/ mixing, Reaper (Daw) is a quick learning process and the sounds are in a library like system. So it make the whole process of composing a track easier and faster.
10.)Do you think the quality of your production now would be possible with another keyboard?
With one keyboard probably not it might be possible with 2 or 3. DBeat offers so many sounds i think it would be a tough act to follow for one keyboard.
11.) Have you had any experience with our Tech Support and how does it rate with you?
I have not yet experience Tech Support, every thing has been running smoothly and is pretty self explanatory.
12.) What is next for you and your Production Station?
Next for me will be a few sound modules and a new studio a few years down the road. Career wise, I'm moving forward and pushing my creativity as far as it will.
