Brian Jenious

JENWAH AKA JENIOUS is a New York Producer, originally from Los Angeles, CA. Jenious uses the MIKO Timbaland Special Edition; with the GEN5 upgrade, Bump MP drum pad controller, GURU and RIFF.

JENWAH leaves his options open, when it comes to seeking opportunity, such as Exclusive and non-exclusive beats for Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Pop, Video Game, Film Sound Track, Commercial Jingles and more.

JENWAH understands the necessity of an efficient and consistent workflow within the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) environment platform; hence the Open Labs workstation (DAW).
JENWAH downsized his previous studio when Open Labs MIKO was added to his library of instruments; Hardware, Software, MIDI setup.

1.)How did you first hear about Open Labs?

2.)What Production Station do you have?
    MIKO Timbaland Special Edition

3.)How has the gear changed your method of work?
    Integrates my work flow and reduces external devices and gear.

4.)What is your production station's primary function, live or studio?
    Studio

5.)What is your favorite software on the board?
    Guru, Riff and Reaper

6.)How do you use it?
    I use Guru with the BumpMP drum pad controller, Riff in a live session and Reaper as my DAW for tracking, editing and mixing.

7.)Which kind of equipment have you owned in the past and how do they compare to your Open Labs equipment?
    In the past I owned lots of external music gear and components, such as keyboards, sound modules and outboard gear.

8.)Has the gear changed the way you write songs?
    The MIKO provides ease of work flow which augment how I create and produce music, as well as mix.

9.)How different is the composition process compared to the standard computer or laptop system?
    The Open Labs MIKO is an efficient workstation that integrates various music tools in one workstation chassis.

10.)Do you think the quality of your production now would be possible with another keyboard?

      Sure. However, using Open Labs MIKO stream lines the production and shortens the steps within the workflow, which results in product completed faster.

11.) Have you had any experience with our Tech Support and how does it rate with you?
       The Open Labs Technical Support is the BEST. You can tell that the Open Labs support team enjoys what they do and always go over and beyond to assist, facilitate and/or resolve problems.

12.)What is next for you and your Production Station?
      Well I already upgraded the MIKO from GEN4 to GEN5. I also added the BumpMP drum pad controller and GURU / RIFF software bundle. However, I plan to next install Universal Audio UAD2 card for mixing and mastering.
