Chris Thibodeaux

Chris Thibodeaux, a session player who has Cerebral Palsy and vision impairment, has found that his Open Labs' NeKo makes touring possible by replacing both his Hammond B3 and Fender Rhodes electric piano in a single portable unit. He tours regularly from Texas to Las Vegas playing up to 300 shows a year.

Artist Q&A

Q: How has the Neko changed your method of work?
A: Are you kidding? I used to have a studio and a touring keyboard rig including a Hammond B3 with two Leslie Cabs. Now, I only use the NeKo, it's everything I had and more.

Q: How does your NeKo compare to the keyboards you have owned in the past?
A: They can't, no way in hell. I had everything, you name it. I've sold them all. Not only is it all I use right now, it is all I want to use. It excites me because it can grow with you.

Q: Besides touring and studio work, what else are you doing with your Neko?
A: Commercials.

Q: How have you integrated the Neko into your current studio setting?
A: It's become the studio - period, end of story!

Equipment Used

Purchased NeKo LX (Gen2)
