K Drew
K.Drew, short for Kevin Drew, is a genuine music prodigy. Though only 18 years old, K.Drew is consistently writing, producing and singing songs that rival the best the music business has to offer. Hailing from Howell, New Jersey, this blue-eyed baby-faced music machine is just what the business has been waiting for: excitement. With just one listen it's apparent that another star is upon us.
Influenced by The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Bruce Springsteen, K.drew is not only on the cutting edge of contemporary music but also holds timeless songwriting talent. The skill of his pen, the movement of his fingers and the sound of his voice not only grab the attention of teenage girls across the world but also garner attention from anyone who appreciates a great song and a great singer.
He is simply driven by music. "I never worry when it comes to creating music. I love and enjoy doing it. A day doesn't pass by where I am not creating, singing or performing. I love it all." Getting an early start, K.Drew stumbled into his father’s home studio at the age of 14, and begin clanking around on a keyboard. At first listen, his father wondered, Who is playing that? And he hasn't stopped creating since.
"I put my life into music," he states. "It's not a hobby for me, it's a necessity, I have to do this and I have to create it. I love making people smile and even better yet, dance." In addition to his talent, K.Drew is probably one of the most humbled and polite teenagers you will encounter, on or off the stage. There's no Svengali behind K.Drew, there's no factory or machine. This is a kid following his instincts, making music and just being himself.
K.Drew and his music are the real deal.
Artist Q & A
Q: How did you first hear about Open Labs?
A: I found out through the Timbaland video. I'm a big fan of his work and everything he's done so of course you gotta research what the King uses. lol.
Q: How has the MiKo changed your method of work?
A: It changed every aspect of the way I work. I don't waste time when I'm in the studio. It allows me to put down my thoughts and melodies right on the spot.

A: Reaper. The best program known to man! lol
Q: Which kind of keyboard have you owned in the past and how do they compare to your NeKo/MiKo?
A: I've always been big on VSTi's so when I heard that I can load over 200 presets on the MiKo I had to get it!
