Open Labs Live Summer Webcast

From Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22, Open Labs will be hosting a live webcast from their office in Austin, TX. The webcast will be broadcast on www.openlabs.com, and will feature events such as live performances from Open Labs endorsed artists, phone and Skype interviews of musicians complementing on Open Labs products, artist and staff demonstrations, interactive chat rooms and more. The event will begin Friday morning and end on Sunday evening.

Being Austin's premier music computer musical instrument company, Open Labs products are found in some of the best studios around the globe, and some of the world's highest profile musicians have endorsed Open Labs gear. Over the last few months, the company has grown steadily and triumphantly, and Open Labs has decided to show it’s appreciation by sharing the good news with the public, and give them something back for all of their support.

"We owe all of our recent success to our faithful customers: the musicians that our products are designed for," said Hank Coleman, CEO of Open Labs, Inc. "We feel that this live webcast will entertain and educate our audience and the viewers, and promote our endorsed musicians as well as our business. We'd like to celebrate our company's success by teaching, entertaining and having some fun while doing so."

The most prominent feature of the webcast will be the multi-genred, artist guest appearances from all over the world. The list tentatively includes California producers Tim & Bob, Sheila E, Sounds Under Radio, My Morning Jacket, Jimmy Nichols, Fab, Happy Perez, Famecast.com winners Recorder, The Heavyweights, Garianno Lorenzo, Bruce Dickson of American Idol, Lovebones and many more, including surprise guest appearances. The guests will be performing or interviewed either by making a personal appearance at the Open Labs headquarters, Skyping in via webcams, or phoning in to the Open Labs office and answering questions from the staff.

Aside from the guest appearances, the webcast will also feature staff and endorsed artist's demonstrations of how to use Open Labs gear, instructional videos on various Open Labs software and applications, and segments on Open Labs breaking news.

Among the breaking news and accomplishments that Open Labs has made this year, they were selected for the FiReStarter award from Strategic News Services. The FiReStarter award is handed to 10 out of 1200 companies per year, based on their future prospects in technology and business. The conference was held at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California, from May 20-23, 2008, and was a great success. Hosted by Mark Anderson, founder and publisher of the Strategic News Service, the FiRe conference exposes world experts and participants to new ideas in all areas of technology, and creates an accurate portrait of the future.

"We think that Open Labs is the gateway to the revolution in online creation of music," said Anderson. "FiReStarter companies are selected because of the difference they will make in the next five years in terms of global commerce and technology, FiReStarter awards are given to companies that we think will change the world."

One significant appearance that the webcast will feature is a video from Dem Southern Folkz rapper/producer Thomas Benjamin, who is currently a U.S. Army soldier in Iraq. Benjamin received his MiKo LX in mid-May, and though he's currently overseas serving our country, he's using his free time to produce music and teach himself how to play piano. Benjamin's video takes place at his station near Baghdad, and features him describing how he got his MiKo into Iraq and how he has been using the gear. It is a great honor for Open Labs to serve our business to one of our country's finest, while they are serving our country overseas.

Open Labs' first webcast was a huge success. Guest stars included Jesse Carmichael (Maroon 5 keyboardist), Jimmy Nichols (Faith Hill music director), Morris Hayes (Prince keyboardist), Dave Schultz (Goo Goo Dolls keyboardist), Scott Spock (Britney Spears producer), and Mickael (Baby Bash producer).

Open Labs anticipates that the coming webcast will be even bigger and better than the previous, with A-list celebrities making appearances and praising the Open Labs business.

Tune into www.openlabs.com from June 20 to June 22. Broadcast will begin at 11am on Friday, Noon on Saturday and Noon on Sunday.
